EnsoMOSAIC for agriculture
Precision agriculture requires remotely sensed imagery which is up-to-date.
The most efficient method to
produce it is to apply airborne medium format or UAV imaging.
Both solutions can be applied in most weather conditions, thus enabling data
acquisition in exact pre-planned dates.
Traditional aircrafts with medium format cameras are mostly used by service providers. This technology enables mapping of 100,000 ha within one day (3000 feet altitude) with 0.3 meter ground resolution. UAV solutions are mostly used for mapping areas below 2,000 ha, so this technology is suited mostly for individual farmers and for operators carrying out mapping services for a group of farms. Both UAV and medium format solutions can apply CIR or RGB cameras to detect plant health, fertilization needs, etc. Output mosaics are always orthorectified, and can be overlaid with existing GIS layers for quick decision making within hours after the flight. |
